We are pleased to announce The Brandon Student Design Award. This award seeks to honor the young design talent of Brandon Haskins (1988-2010) who was the acting Chief Creative Officer of CBP at the time of his death. Brandon had a natural talent that blossomed through design courses as a high school and college student. However, Brandon's greatest growth in his design skills came through mentorship and active participation in real life design projects.

Will "eBooks kill the printed star..."?

With all the talk of books being replaced with eBooks, I thought I should weigh-in with an opinion.


While there has been a downturn in sales volume of purchased books overall in the world, I believe it is for economic reasons not publishing reasons. And there has been an increase in eBook sales volume, but not because they are thumbing their noses at traditional books exactly, but because it is a new exciting technology.
